Jamshedpur, Aug 7: Acting on a tip-off, police arrested two criminals, including a notorious one from the Parsudih police station area on Monday.

The arrests were made while the criminals identified as Anup Chakravarti and Bhim Gagrari were roaming about Namotola locality in Parsudih to kill their rival.

The police seized a loaded pistol and a motorcycle while arresting the duo.

Revealing about the achievement, senior SP, Prabhat Kumar said that Anup Chakravarti is a notorious criminal and has come out of Ghaghidih central jail recently.

“On being interrogated, the arrested persons divulged that they wanted to kill Dominic who is their rival, ” said Kumar while addressing a press conference here today.

The senior SP said Anup Chakravarti is a notorious criminal and about a dozen criminal cases are pending against him in East Singhbhum, Seraikela-Kharsawan and in the neighbouring Bengal.

Police sent both Anup Chakravarti and Bhim Gagrari to jail after they were produced before a judicial magistrate.
