Ranchi, Aug.18: The BJP has ridiculed Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s claim at a meeting in Dumri that the cases of mob lynching have been reduced to zero under his rule.
BJP state president Babulal Marandi through a tweet alleged the chief minister of playing a ‘Muslim Card’ after failure of ‘Adivasi Card’. He presented data of mob lynching during Hemant Soren’s tenure and alleged that Soren is on the top in atrocities against Dalits and tribals.
“When the tribal card did not work, the Chief Minister @HemantSorenJMM started playing the Muslim card. The figures of your government itself show that there have been 12 incidents of mob lynching during your government. Five Muslims have become its victims. You are on top in atrocities on Dalits and tribals,” the tweet reads.
BJP national vice president Raghubar Das also echoed the same presenting details of the mob lynching incidents during Soren’s tenure with facts and figures.
“Raises a question mark on understanding. Incidents of mob lynching have increased in the rule of Hemant ji, who once defamed Jharkhand by calling it a lynching pad. To refresh their memory, let me tell you that the whole country has not forgotten the mob lynching of Rupesh Pandey and Sanju Pradhan. Today, due to your weak leadership, the law and order situation in Jharkhand has collapsed and you are lying. Before making unrestrained statements and inciting the Muslim society, he should be arrested by the police-administration,” the tweet reads.
“You should have asked for the statistics of mob lynching during his reign. Some statistics of mob lynchings of your regime include- lynching of Subhan Ansari on charges of goat theft on May 11, 2020, mob lynching of Sanju Pradhan in Simdega on January 2022, killing of Bablu Shah on charges of goat theft in Godda on June 2020, mob lynching of Sachin Kumar Verma on March 2021 in Ranchi on charges of truck theft, ………….” the tweet further reads.
Both the tweets carry the video in which Soren was heard leveling allegation of mob lynching against the BJP and claiming freedom of the state from in the incidents of mob lynching.
