It is likely to move west-northwestwards  across north Odisha and north Chhattisgarh during next 2-3 days.

The western end of the monsoon trough at mean sea level was running close to the foothills of the Himalayas and its eastern end was passing through Gorakhpur, Dehri, Ranchi, Balasore and thence southeastwards to the centre of low-pressure area over northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of West Bengal-north Odisha coasts.

According to statistics, Jharkhand was still facing a rain deficit of 36 per cent.
