Deoghar, Sep 11: RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav travelled to Baba Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar with his wife Rabri Devi (ex-Bihar CM) on Monday and offered prayers.
Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi quietly entered the innermost area, accompanied by security personnel, without any grand display, and performed all the traditional rituals to offer their prayers to Lord Shiva.
They reportedly made their prayers and then went to the Basukinath Dham temple.
Notably, special preparations were made by the temple administration, but Lalu Yadav, displaying simplicity, went straight into the inner sanctuary and offered prayers to “Baba Bholenath.”
On the festival of Janmashtami earlier on Thursday, Lalu Yadav and his son Tej Pratap Yadav performed prayers at Patna’s Banke Bihari Temple.
The RJD leader prayed to Lord Krishna and touched the sculptures of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati in the temple.
Taking to X, Tej Pratap posted “Today, on September 7, Janmashtami was organised at Shri Banke Bihari Shiv Temple, where our father Shri Lalu Prasad Yadav also reached and offered prayers.”
Tej Pratap Yadav was spotted wearing a tilak and traditional attire.
