Ranchi, Sept 19: A certificate issued by the University as proof of conferment of an award is a unique and valuable document which students carefully preserve for their whole life. It becomes all the more precious if it is awarded on a gold plate.

So, when Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), New Delhi, held its centenary convocation in July last, it had awarded ‘Certificate on Gold™’ a replica of the university degree certificate on 24K pure gold housed in artistic & classical frames.

JMI, the Central university, procured about 1500 numbers of Certificates on Gold™ from New Delhi-based company, DIVINITI, for all their PhD students for their two successive years of convocation. Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankar had graced the convocation as the Chief guest and distributed these certificates to the PhD scholars.

Apart from JMI, the universities and institutions which have procured such certificates from the company included Asan Dental Medical College (One of the top medical colleges in South India), Galgotia University, UP, Raisurana University, Nagpur, Silver Oak University, Ahmedabad, SGT University, Haryana, Shri Ramachandra College, Chennai, and Manav Rachna University.

DIVINITI, which introduced the ‘Certificate on Gold™ recently, is overwhelmed with the response.

Says Dr Amushree Jha, Director of Divinti, “these are made with 24K pure gold with highest standards of quality, precision, and authenticity. As the technology is proprietary, there is no chance of duplication or counterfeiting.”

The ‘House of Diviniti’ is one of the most trusted global brands in the space of spiritual, university and corporate gifting. For the past several decades the exquisitely designed products from the company have adorned the temples and drawing rooms of the royalties and the celebrities around the world.

Explaining the prime characteristics of these certificates, she pointed out that the certificates are housed in classical and customised frames which the students would proudly display in their drawing rooms or offices. “These certificates would help inculcate perpetual pride in the students and would reinforce the brand of the university. Moreover, these certificates are true value for money proposition and comes at a fraction of a cost of a modern smart phone which almost every student carries these days,” she added.

She pointed out that each ‘Certificate on Gold’ comes with a certificate from a reputed government authorised laboratory stating that it contains 99.9% of pure gold. “They also come with a buy-back guarantees. The students or the universities can get the refund at the rate of 70% of their purchase costs in the event of return of any of these certificates,” she added.

Amushree maintained that no such product exists in the world at the moment and the company has applied for a patent for the same.

Jharkhand connection

Notably, the House of DIVINITI was founded as an art studio in Dhanbad by a freedom fighter Late Waliram Taneja in 1956. Subsequently it was taken over by a group headed by Dr. Tapas K Mallick who is from academia and has interests in religious business, real estate in Jharkhand and other states.
