Tata Steel UISL shines with 3 gold awards at CCQC 2023 contest

Jamshedpur, Sept 26: Tata Steel UISL (formerly JUSCO)  has achieved a remarkable feat by winning 3 gold awards at the 23rd Chapter Convention on Quality Concepts (CCQC 2023) competition held at Visakhapatnam on September 22.

The prestigious event, themed “Nurture Quality Concepts for a Better Future,” witnessed the participation of 134 teams presenting case studies on quality circles, lean quality circles, 5S workplace management system, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and lean six sigma concepts.

The two-day convention, inaugurated by  Deb Kalyan Mohanty, Director (Commercial) of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), showcased the best practices adopted by industry personnel to foster excellence in their respective workplaces.

Despite tough competition from 134 teams, the Water Management Department (WMD) teams Aila and Kranti along with Prarup from the Design Engineering and Town Planning (DETP) department, emerged as winners of the prestigious Gold Awards.

Tata Steel UISL’s performance in the competition is a testament to their commitment to excellence and innovation.

Furthermore, the company continues to set new benchmarks in quality management and remains committed to delivering excellence in all aspects of its operations.
