Hangzhou, Oct 2: Indian roller skaters gave their best performance on the 9th day of the Asian Games being played in Hangzhou, China. Both the Indian men’s and women’s teams won bronze medals for India in the 3000-meter relay events. With this, India has won 21 bronze medals in the Asian Games 2023.
The women’s team quartet of Sanjana Bathula, Karthika Jagadeeswaran, Heeral Sadhu and Aarathy Kasturi Raj finished third with a timing of 4:34.861s. Chinese Taipei won the gold medal and South Korea won the silver medal.
In the men’s category, Aryanapal Singh Ghuman, Anandkumar Velkumar, Siddhant Kamble, and Vikram Ingale clinched the bronze in 4:10.128s in the relay race. In the 3000-meter relay competition, China took the gold, and South Korea secured the silver medal. Indian roller skaters had won silver medals in men’s free skating and pairs skating events in the 2010 Asian Games held in Guangzhou.
