New Delhi: AAP MP Sanjay Singh has leveled serious allegations against the BJP, claiming that there is a conspiracy to harm Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Singh’s comments come in response to claims by Lt Governor VK Saxena, who suggested that Kejriwal had been deliberately skipping meals to compromise his health.

At a press conference on Sunday, Singh accused the BJP of sabotaging Kejriwal’s health, alleging that the party’s actions were aimed at endangering the Chief Minister. Singh highlighted contradictions in the BJP’s statements about Kejriwal’s diet, noting that the BJP had previously accused Kejriwal of consuming sweets to spike his blood sugar levels, and now suggested he was not eating enough.

“There is a clear conspiracy to kill Kejriwal,” Singh asserted. The AAP has reported that Kejriwal has lost eight kilograms since being imprisoned at Tihar Jail, raising concerns about his health and potential underlying conditions.

Singh criticized the Lt Governor’s office for expressing concern over Kejriwal’s alleged refusal to consume a prescribed medical diet and medicines. According to the LG’s communication, Kejriwal has reportedly engaged in “willful low-calorie intake” despite having access to sufficient food, including refusing insulin on July 7.

Earlier this year, the Enforcement Directorate alleged that Kejriwal was consuming high-sugar foods to create a basis for medical bail. Kejriwal, who was arrested in connection with the excise policy case, remains in jail following a subsequent arrest by the CBI, despite being granted interim bail by the Supreme Court.

Kejriwal’s lawyer informed the Delhi High Court that his blood sugar levels had dropped below 50 while he was asleep, adding to concerns about his well-being.
