Thiruvananthapuram: Thiruvananthapuram International Airport was put on high alert today after a bomb threat was reported on an Air India flight arriving from Mumbai. The emergency response was initiated around 8 a.m. when the flight, carrying 135 passengers, safely landed and was immediately moved to an isolation bay.

The pilot of the Air India flight communicated the bomb threat as the aircraft approached the airport, triggering swift action from the airport authorities. All passengers were promptly evacuated, and security protocols were enacted to ensure their safety.

While the threat’s origin and further details are still under investigation, airport officials have stated that the situation is being handled with the utmost caution. The authorities are conducting thorough checks and will continue to monitor the situation closely.

The incident highlights the importance of robust security measures and the readiness of airport personnel to handle such emergencies.
