Agra: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath delivered a powerful message on national unity during a rally in Agra today, underscoring the dangers of division and the strength of solidarity. Drawing on the situation in neighboring Bangladesh, the Chief Minister warned, “Batenge toh katenge” (If we are divided, we will be destroyed), and urged citizens to prioritize national unity above all else.

Speaking at the event, which also featured the unveiling of a statue, Adityanath remarked, “Nothing can be more important than our nation. And the nation will only be empowered when we stay united.” His comments come at a time when political tensions and social divisions are increasingly in the spotlight.

Referring to recent developments in Bangladesh following the departure of Sheikh Hasina from the Prime Minister’s office, Adityanath accused opposition parties in India of engaging in divisive politics for the sake of vote banks. He criticized them for their selective outrage, pointing out their silence on the persecution of Hindus and the demolition of temples in Bangladesh, while being vocal on other global issues. “They see Palestine but turn a blind eye to Bangladesh because they fear losing their vote bank,” he stated.

The Chief Minister further called for collective action to expose and counter those who seek to fracture society for their own interests. “We must unite to ensure that no one is able to spread divisiveness in society, whether on the basis of caste, region, language, or any other ground,” he asserted, delivering a veiled warning to those he believes are undermining the country’s unity.

Yogi Adityanath’s address in Agra is part of a broader campaign emphasizing the need for national cohesion and the dangers posed by internal divisions. His reference to Bangladesh serves as a reminder of the potential consequences of fragmentation and highlights the importance of maintaining a unified national front.
