Jintur, Maharashtra: Union Home Minister Amit Shah took aim at Congress leadership during a rally in Maharashtra’s Jintur, stating that Sonia Gandhi’s “Rahul aircraft” would once again crash in the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections. Shah expressed confidence that the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance would secure victory under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

Criticism of MVA Over Stalled Development Projects

Shah accused the MVA government of halting development initiatives, specifically criticizing the discontinuation of the ₹4,000 crore Marathwada Water Grid project, which was intended to bring relief to drought-affected regions. Shah highlighted that the BJP, under Devendra Fadnavis, had initiated the project to ensure water supply for Marathwada, but it was shelved under the Uddhav Thackeray-led administration.

Remarks on Waqf Property and Religious Bias

Shah further alleged that the Waqf Board had appropriated land from villages, temples, and farmers under MVA rule, and assured the crowd that the BJP would address these concerns by amending the Waqf Act if necessary. He claimed that BJP’s proposed reforms faced opposition from Congress and its allies, but he expressed confidence that these changes would be enacted.

JP Nadda’s Criticism of Congress

Joining the campaign, BJP National President JP Nadda criticized Rahul Gandhi’s “Mohabbat ki Dukan,” claiming it “sells division, not love.” Nadda urged Maharashtra’s voters to choose BJP on November 20 for a strong and unified future.

Upcoming Election Details

The Maharashtra assembly elections will see a tight contest between the BJP-led Mahayuti coalition and the opposition MVA alliance, with polls scheduled for November 20 and results expected on November 23.
