RANCHI:

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has expressed his concerns about the conditions faced by prisoners, especially those unjustly detained or unable to afford legal aid. In a social media post, he emphasized, “Jail life is different. I pray no innocent person has to experience it.”

The Chief Minister announced plans to create a special mechanism to assist underprivileged and innocent prisoners. Highlighting the plight of those incarcerated for minor offenses and unable to secure bail due to poverty or lack of legal knowledge, Soren remarked, “For such individuals, we are establishing a distinct arrangement to support them.”

Call for Unity Amid Political Divisions

In another post, CM Soren appealed to voters to preserve Jharkhand’s unity amidst political divisiveness. “The next two hours of voting will decide whether Jharkhand remains united or divides,” he stated, responding to claims by opposing factions suggesting the fragmentation of regions like Santhal and Saraikela.
