Ranchi: The Jharkhand government has appointed Satyajit Singh as the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Head of Forest Force). The position had been vacant since November 30, following the retirement of Sanjay Srivastava.
Satyajit Singh, a senior Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer, has served in various capacities within the Forest Department, including as the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) in Jamshedpur. Known for his extensive experience and contribution to the department, Singh’s appointment is expected to bring continuity and effective leadership.
The Forest Department has issued an official order regarding his posting, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the department’s administration.
