Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is set to embark on his Pragati Yatra from December 23, starting in West Champaran. This tour was initially named Mahila Samvad Yatra, later changed to Samaj Sudhar Yatra, and now renamed Pragati Yatra. Taking a dig at this, RJD leader and former Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav criticized the Chief Minister for his inconsistency and raised 10 pointed questions about the tour.

Tejashwi, sharing his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter), wrote, “Due to his habits, character, instability, and indecisiveness, Nitish Kumar has renamed the same tour multiple times in just a fortnight. This shows how mentally disturbed and unstable he has become.”

Tejashwi’s 10 Questions to Nitish Kumar

1. How many problems raised during the Samadhan Yatra 2023 have been resolved so far?

2. Why do many issues remain unresolved despite assurances during the Samadhan Yatra? Isn’t this negligence on the Chief Minister’s part?

3. Why have grievances raised during the CM’s Janata Darbar not been resolved yet?

4. If the CM ignores public representatives’ concerns and focuses only on officials’ inputs, what is the purpose of this monologue-filled tour?

5. Why is public money being wasted on luxurious helicopter tours and official meetings when there is no real dialogue with the people?

6. Is it justifiable to spend ₹225.78 crore of a poor state’s funds on snacks and social media promotion for this tour?

7. Is this tour a “loot tour” for officials to misuse resources?

8. Will this tour evaluate the availability of illegal liquor, police involvement in the liquor trade, and the failure of prohibition?

9. Is this tour about warning district officials for personal benefits under the guise of development?

10. Is this tour intended to fuel corruption in police stations and block offices across the state?

Details of the First Phase of Pragati Yatra

The first phase of Nitish Kumar’s Pragati Yatra will run from December 23 to 28, covering five districts. The tour begins in West Champaran on December 23, followed by East Champaran on December 24. There will be no tour on Christmas Day, December 25. On December 26, the CM will visit Sheohar and Sitamarhi, followed by Muzaffarpur on December 27. The first phase will conclude in Vaishali on December 28.

Earlier, the tour was scheduled to start on December 15 but was postponed. Nitish Kumar plans to interact with officials and review ongoing development projects during the tour.
