Patna: Bihar is witnessing intensified protests following the alleged Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) question paper leak and Sunday’s lathi charge on students. The All India Students’ Association (AISA) has called for a Bihar bandh on December 30, demanding a re-examination. The Communist Party of India (CPI) has extended its support to the bandh, while opposition leaders have launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Tejashwi Yadav Accuses Prashant Kishor of Hijacking Protest

Former Deputy Chief Minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav accused political strategist Prashant Kishor of attempting to hijack and misdirect the students’ movement. Sharing a video on Facebook, Tejashwi claimed to have written to CM Nitish Kumar regarding the BPSC issue but received no response.

“The government is playing with the future of youth. The entire examination process must be cancelled. I extend my moral support to BPSC candidates,” he said. Tejashwi also alleged that the police acted on Nitish Kumar’s orders during the lathi charge and criticized Kishor for derailing the protest, calling his party the “B team” of the government and BJP.

FIR Filed Against Protesters

Amid escalating tensions, the police have registered an FIR against 21 named individuals, including Prashant Kishor, his party president Manoj Bharti, and teacher Ramanashu Mishra, along with 600-700 unidentified individuals.
