5.Free Water Stations

To curb plastic use, the band provides free water refill stations at all venues and encourages fans to bring refillable bottles.

Collaborating with 23 green travel providers, Coldplay promotes low-carbon travel options like cycling, carpooling, and public transport for concertgoers.

7.Waste Reduction & Charitable Giving

The band diverts 72% of waste from landfills, donates meals to those in need, and supports environmental initiatives such as The Ocean Cleanup and Project Seagrass.

8.Biodegradable Confetti

Confetti used during shows is 100% biodegradable, requiring less compressed gas, minimizing the environmental footprint.

9.Revenue for a Cause

10% of the band’s revenue from tours and releases is allocated to environmental and socially conscious projects, including ClientEarthand One Tree Planted.

10.Support for Local Economies

Coldplay sources local food and fibers for team meals and merchandise, promoting sustainability and supporting regional economies.

Impact and Vision

Frontman Chris Martin emphasized the band’s satisfaction in witnessing the positive impact of these measures, stating, “The joy and enthusiasm we see in fans, knowing they’re part of a sustainable experience, is overwhelming.”
