Ranchi: A high-speed car collided with a stationary truck on the Ranchi-Tata highway near Raisa Mod under the Namkum police station area, resulting in one fatality and leaving four others seriously injured. The incident occurred late Sunday night when the car, reportedly travelling at high speed, rammed into the rear of a parked truck.

The impact of the collision was so severe that the car was completely crushed, leading to the death of one young man on the spot. The other four passengers sustained critical injuries and were trapped inside the mangled vehicle.

Upon receiving information about the incident, a police team promptly arrived at the scene and, with the help of local residents, rescued the injured passengers from the wreckage. All four were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been officially released, and police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash. Preliminary reports suggest that overspeeding may have led to the fatal collision.
