Seven Officers Clear Police Academy Exam, One DSP Fails

Ranchi: At the Jharkhand Police Academy in Hazaribagh, seven out of eight officers successfully cleared their basic training semester exam, while one Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) failed. These officers had been directly appointed through backlog recruitment and appeared for the final examination of the first semester conducted by the Jharkhand Training Directorate on May 13, 2025. Among the successful candidates are four DSPs and three Jail Superintendents.

DSPs Who Passed

The four DSPs who cleared the exam are Amit Kumar, Mrityunjay Ram, Lakhan Barnwal, and Birju Kumar Mehta.

Jail Superintendents Who Passed

The three Jail Superintendents who cleared are Gopal Chandra Mahato, Kaushik Kumar, and Neel Praveen Kullu Parmeshwar Bhagat.

One DSP Fails

DSP Birju Kumar Mehta failed in the subject of Supervision despite passing overall, making him the only officer to fall short in the exam.
