Ranchi: The Jharkhand Congress has accused the BJP of misleading people with lies and propaganda, asserting that the state government is committed to providing employment and has already rolled out a roadmap for over 40,000 appointments by February 2026.

Government Serious About Jobs, Says Congress

Congress spokesperson Sonal Shanti said the Hemant Soren government has distributed thousands of appointment letters in sectors such as education, health, urban development, and sports. She added that assistant professors have already been recruited, but BJP leaders “fail to see the smiling faces of employed youth due to their foggy vision.”

BJP’s ‘PIL Gang’ Blocking Recruitment

The Congress alleged that the BJP has deployed a “PIL gang” to obstruct upcoming recruitments in the state. The government, according to Shanti, is moving cautiously to prevent such attempts from derailing the hiring process. She claimed that unlike the Centre’s “hollow promises,” the Jharkhand government is delivering on commitments, which is why young people continue to trust it.

Criticism of BJP’s National Record

Targeting the BJP at the national level, the Congress said the Modi government had promised two crore jobs per year, meaning 22 crore jobs over 11 years, but failed to deliver even two million. Shanti further accused the Centre of betraying youth with unfulfilled promises like the internship scheme announced during the Lok Sabha elections, where 20 lakh internships were promised annually, but only 8,700 were provided. Out of the ₹2,000 crore allocated in the 2024–25 budget, only ₹50 crore was spent, she alleged.
