Ranchi: Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar participated in the “Sardar @150 Padyatra” (Unity March – One India, Self-Reliant India), which began at the Raj Bhavan main gate and concluded at OTC Ground. He said the march, organised to commemorate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 150th birth anniversary year, stands as a symbol of national unity and a spirit of service.
Message of National Integration
The Governor said Sardar Patel’s historic role in integrating 562 princely states laid the foundation of an united India. He urged the youth to adopt Patel’s ideals in their personal lives and contribute to strengthening national unity.
Honouring Sardar Patel’s Legacy
Marking the 150th birth anniversary, several events are being held across the country to reinforce national integrity. The Governor said remembering Patel’s values and applying them in daily life is a collective responsibility.
Governor’s Additional Remarks
The Governor extended best wishes to all participants in the padyatra. He praised the initiative of MY Bharat and the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports for turning the anniversary into a mass movement. He said the march should inspire stronger commitment towards national harmony, social cohesion, adoption of swadeshi practices, and a pledge against addiction.
