Patna: Newly appointed BJP National Working President and Bihar minister Nitin Nabin paid floral tribute to his late father, veteran BJP leader Nabin Kishore Prasad Sinha, and offered prayers at Patna’s Mahavir Mandir. Speaking to the media, he said the party’s leadership consistently provides its workers with guidance, opportunities and encouragement to grow and serve.
Offers Prayers at Mahavir Mandir Before Assuming New Role
Before addressing the media, Nabin visited Mahavir Mandir where he performed rituals accompanied by Bihar BJP president and minister Dilip Jaiswal. He said the temple visit fills him with energy, adding that the blessings of his father had guided him throughout his 20-year political journey. He expressed confidence that his father’s blessings would continue to inspire his future responsibilities.
Nabin reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling the new organisational duties with sincerity, stating that the BJP’s leadership and the support of party workers continue to strengthen the organisation.
A Political Journey Rooted in Family Legacy and Organisational Strength
Nitin Nabin, an influential leader in Bihar politics, began his journey through the BJP’s youth wing, BJYM, eventually rising to national roles through strong organisational work. Born in 1980 in Patna, he entered electoral politics after his father’s demise, winning the 2006 by-election from Patna West.
Following constituency reorganisation, he shifted to Bankipur and has since won five consecutive assembly terms (2010, 2015, 2020, 2025). His ministerial roles have included portfolios such as Road Construction, Urban Development and Housing, Law, and Justice.
At the organisational level, Nabin has handled key responsibilities—from being co-incharge of Chhattisgarh to leading election strategies that resulted in major victories. On December 14, 2025, he was appointed BJP National Working President, working alongside party chief JP Nadda on national-level operations.
