Stand-up comedian Samay Raina has made a strong comeback after nearly a year with his new stand-up special ‘Still Alive’, which has taken the internet by storm by crossing over 6 million views within just 16 hours of its release.

Addressing Controversies Head-On

In the 1-hour-21-minute-long show, Samay Raina openly spoke about past controversies, including the 2025 issue surrounding ‘India’s Got Latent’. He recalled how a controversial remark by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia led to an FIR being filed, describing the situation as “crossfire” in which he was also caught. He humorously revealed that the controversial question was asked multiple times but largely edited out.

Sharp Jibes At Critics And Celebrities

The comedian also took indirect digs at several public figures, including Mukesh Khanna, referencing his iconic character ‘Shaktimaan’. Samay questioned the credibility of those who comment on content impact while being surrounded by controversies themselves.

Defending Dark Comedy Style

Samay Raina defended his bold and dark comedy approach, stating that maintaining a “clean image” is not his style. He emphasized that everyone has a different real persona online, and hiding it feels artificial to him.

‘India’s Got Latent’ Season 2 Announced

Towards the end of the special, he announced the return of his popular show ‘India’s Got Latent’ for a second season. He made it clear that he enjoys creating such content and hinted that the upcoming season could be even more unfiltered and edgy.
