New Delhi: The Congress party launched a sharp attack on the Modi government over the ongoing CBSE and NEET examination scandals, with AICC Media and Publicity Department chairman Pawan Khera accusing the Prime Minister of discussing mango varieties and jaljeera recipes in his Mann Ki Baat programme while lakhs of young students face a deepening education crisis.
PM Silent on Exam Scams in Mann Ki Baat
Pawan Khera said he had tuned into PM Modi’s Mann Ki Baat episode hoping the Prime Minister would address the CBSE and NEET exam irregularities that have destroyed the futures of countless young people. Instead, he said, the PM spoke about varieties of mangoes, jaljeera recipes, and the importance of drinking water in summer, raising questions about the government’s priorities amid a national education crisis.
Scams Now Reaching School-Level Education
Khera said the problem is no longer limited to competitive examinations. He alleged that irregularities have spread from board examinations to competitive tests like NEET, CUET, JEE Mains, and BPSC, and further into service commissions, pointing to a systemic collapse in the country’s examination infrastructure over the past two years.
Does PM Want Youth to Remain Uneducated, Says Congress
Taking a sharp dig, Khera asked what exactly PM Modi wants for the country’s youth. He questioned whether the Prime Minister wants young Indians to remain uneducated, unemployed, and confined to RSS branches, alleging that the government has shown no serious intent to fix the broken education system.
19-Year-Old Ethical Hacker Exposed What CBSE Could Not
Khera pointed out that a 19-year-old ethical hacker managed to expose the government’s entire examination system — something that CBSE’s own investigators had failed to do — laying bare the extent of the vulnerabilities in the system before the country.
Not a Single Minister Condemned CBSE Failures
The Congress leader alleged that not one minister in the Modi government had posted or tweeted a single word of criticism against the education system or CBSE’s failures. He contrasted this with Rahul Gandhi’s active engagement with affected students, saying the difference between the two was clear — one was counting mango varieties while the other was concerned about the nation’s youth.
Education Minister Deflects, Congress Hits Back
Khera noted that when Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan was asked about paper leaks, his response was that Rahul Gandhi is frustrated. Responding to this, Khera said the entire country is frustrated because the Modi government is playing games with the current generation’s future, twisting the PM’s famous slogan to say the real motto had become neither study, nor let others study.
