New Delhi: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said on Friday that in India, dharma and the nation are not separate from each other, speaking at the 14th conference of the All India Vihar Seva Samuh, a service organisation of Jain youth.
“If One Exists, So Does the Other”
Bhagwat said the purpose of the nation is dharma, and it is dharma that helps sustain the nation, adding that the existence of one implies the existence of the other. He warned that if dharma faces a crisis, the country has to bear the consequences. He also said that India’s vast tradition of knowledge can play an important role in tackling the challenges confronting the world.
World Grappling with Contradictions, Says RSS Chief
Elaborating on his point, the RSS chief said the world today is struggling with apparent contradictions between development and environmental protection, individual freedom and family life, and religious faith and conflict. He said conflicts in the world cannot be resolved by supporting one side while ignoring the other.
