Retired soldier killed in broad daylight in Gumla

Ranchi, Oct 6: A retired soldier was murdered by slitting his throat in broad daylight with a sharp weapon on Wednesday. The incident took place in Deepnagar located in Pratappur of Gumla police station area of the district.

The retired soldier Jayman Ekka was murdered and criminals fled from the spot after carrying out the murder incident.

The road where the criminals carried out the murder remains busy, but was deserted at the time of the incident. A passerby saw the dead body of the soldier on the road, and immediately informed the Gumla police.  After getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot and took the body in possession and sent it for post-mortem, and are investigating the matter.

According to the information, soldier Jayman was going to fill the gas cylinder on his bike while the incident took place. The murderer is still unknown.  Police are interrogating the family members.  From the spot, the police seized the soldier’s bike and gas cylinder and took it to the police station.
