2 teachers killed in terrorist attack in Srinagar

Srinagar, Oct 7: Two teachers were killed in a terror attack at a government school in the Eidgah area of Srinagar on Thursday. “At about 11:15 am, terrorists shot dead two school teachers at Sangam Eidgah in Srinagar district,” a police official said. Detailed information on this incident is awaited.

Omar Abdullah, National Conference leader and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar tweeted “Shocking news coming in again from Srinagar. Another set of targeted killings, this time of two teachers in a Govt school in Idgah area of the city. Words of condemnation are not enough for this inhuman act of terror but I pray for the souls of the deceased to rest in peace”.

This is the 7th ambush incident in the last 5 days, out of which 6 are from Srinagar only. Makhanlal Bindru, a reputed chemist of Iqbal Park area of Srinagar was killed by terrorists on Tuesday. The terrorists entered the medical store and shot him. On Wednesday, his daughter Dr Shraddha Bindru challenged the terrorists to debate. Also, on Wednesday, near Madina Chowk, Lalbazar in Srinagar terrorists fired upon Virendra Paswan. He was a resident of Bihar’s Bhagalpur district and worked as a street vendor.
