CRPF orders inquiry into Chhattisgarh firing incident that left 4 jawans dead, 3 injured

Sukma, Nov 8: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has ordered an inquiry into the Sukma incident in which a jawan had opened fire on his comrades with an AK-47 and killed four of his colleagues and injured three others.

“ CRPF has ordered an inquiry into the incident to ascertain the cause of the incident and suggest remedial measures,” said the CRPF.

According to CRPF, local police have begun an investigation into the case and all legal actions will follow.

Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that the police officers have been asked to take all necessary measures to ensure that such incidents do not occur in future.

” The incident of death of 4 jawans in the firing incident by a jawan at Maraiguda Linglapalli CRPF camp in Sukma districts is very sad and unfortunate. The police officers have been asked to take all necessary measures to ensure that such incidents do not occur in future”, tweeted CM Baghel.
