Daltonganj, Nov. 8: Police on Monday nabbed Monty Pandey (25), accused of hurling a crude bomb in the town, a year after the incident.

SP Chandan Kumar Sinha confirming the arrest said that this man has involvement in cases of disputed land grabbing too.

The Officer-in-charge of the Daltonganj town police station, A K Mahatha, informed that Pandey had arranged a crude bomb which was thrown on Guddu Khan of Mali mohalla on November 11, 2020 by one of his acquaintances.

Mahatha said that the reason behind this bomb hurling was a girl who was allegedly teased and this bomb was thrown as a ploy to keep the ruffian away from the girl.

“Pandey and Guddu were once friends but later on they had fallen apart from each other,” he added.

Pandey was evading his arrest since November last year but today he was arrested from Surubhi Nagar. He has now been remanded in judicial custody, said police.
