New Delhi, Nov.9: The Union Health Ministry on Tuesday released data according to which India reported 10,126 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the lowest number in 266 days. The number of new cases is also down 11.6 percent from Monday, bringing the overall caseload to 3,43,77,113.
Even the number of active cases has decreased by 2,188, bringing the overall caseload to 1,40,638, the lowest level in 263 days.
According to the health ministry, 332 people have died as a result of the virus in the last 24 hours. With this, India’s Covid-19 death toll has risen to 4,61,389.
In the last 24 hours, 11,982 patients have been discharged, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 3,37,75,086. The recovery rate in India is now at 98.25 percent.
Kerala has the most cases with 5,404, followed by Tamil Nadu with 841, Mizoram with 730, Maharashtra with 693, and West Bengal with 603 cases.
These five states account for at least 81.68 percent of new cases, with Kerala alone accounting for 53.37 percent of new cases.
Kerala had the most casualties (262), followed by Maharashtra with 15 daily deaths.
In the last 24 hours, India has administered a total of 59,08,440 doses, bringing the total number of doses administered to 1,09,08,16,356.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 10,85,848 samples were tested.
