Jharkhand cabinet green signal to Mafat Lal to supply clothes for poor in State

Ranchi, Nov.12:  The Jharkhand cabinet today approved the name of Ms Mafat Lal Industries Limited, Mumbai for supplying clothes to beneficiaries of Sona Sobran Dhoti Saree Vitran Scheme involving Rs 268.64 crore (approx).

 

The company will supply clothes for six months. The cabinet relaxed rule 235 and used rule 245 in the larger interest of the public to give the supply order to the company.

 

Personnel, administrative reform and cabinet coordination department secretary Vandana Dadel informed this after the cabinet meeting.

 

Other approvals given in the meeting included free books to all category students of Class IX and X, improvement of infrastructure to manage Covid1-19 in rural area in accordance with the plan involving Rs 638 crore approved by the union government, supply of bicycles instead of cash amount to purchase bicycles to school students,  extension of services to teachers working in the schools run by ST,SC, BC and minority welfare department and supply clothes to all those having ration cards under under Sona Sobran Dhoti Saree Vitran Scheme.

 

Other major approvals included extension of service of all medical and non-medical staffs of the health department for six months, increasing amount of giving work order from 2.5 lakh to 5 lakh to beneficiary committee under Panchayati Raj scheme, increasing DA of pensioners and government employees to 196 percent from 189 percent with effect from July 2021, bringing all widows under universal pension scheme except those who pay income tax, regular employees of PSU or retired employees of PSU.

The cabinet today approved as many as 37 proposals given by different departments. Out of 37 proposals, as many as 14 proposals were related to amendments in rules, service conditions besides others related to different departments.
