Dhanbad Nov 13: A husband allegedly beat his wife to death in front of three minor children in the name of making tasteless fish in Balgo village under Birni police station, around 46.7 km away from Giridih district headquarter.
The husband identified as Rajesh Mandal after killing his wife Rinki Devi (30), hanged the body with a rope to show that she had committed suicide. After hanging the body Rajesh Mandal raised the alarm that his wife has committed suicide.
Neighbours brought down the body. In the name of going to call the doctor, Rajesh Mandal fled from the house. However, shocked children informed the villagers that their father killed their mother and hanged her with the rope.
Elder son Aditya (12) said that at the time of taking dinner at night his father became irate. All of a sudden he began beating his mother mercilessly. When she collapsed he hanged her.

Rajesh Mandal has three minor children, two sons, and a daughter.
Birni police station officer-in-charge Shrmanand Singh said that the incident occurred last night around 10 pm. After getting information in the morning today police seized the body and sent it for postmortem.
The Officer-in-charge said when police reached the village all the family members of Rajesh had already escaped from the house. “ Investigation is being done. The continuous bickering between the husband and wife is said to be the reason behind the incident. Police have also recorded statements of all the minors.
The brother of deceased Pappu Kumar Mandal in his complaint to police alleged that Rajesh Mandal has killed his sister. Rinki’s marriage was performed 11 years ago and he had been mounting pressure and torturing her for bringing money from her father.
