Daltonganj, Nov. 17: A 100 feet high monumental national flag was hoisted in the premise of the Daltonganj railway station jointly by the BJP MP V. D. Ram and S. C. Chowdhury (ADRM) today.

National anthem was played while the contingent of the Railway Protection Special Force (RPF) gave salutations. The speakers urged people to have a sense of pride, glory and nationalism in this high flowing national flag.

Station superintendent of the Daltonganj railway station under Dhanbad division of the East Central railway, A. K. Tiwari said the unfurling ceremony was precise but impressive. Nearby shopkeepers and locals attended this function.

There is an arrangement of two huge high mast lights which will keep the national flag always visible even in darkness.

This is the first such high-height national flag in the Palamu district.

Daltonganj station superintendent A.K. Mahatha informed that the MP V D Ram later left by road for Garhwa railway station where a similar high height national flag hoisting is to be done along with another ADRM.
