Amir Khan’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ to clash with Yash’s ‘KGF 2’ at box office

Mumbai, Nov.20: Baisakhi will be extremely wonderful for all movie enthusiasts as two major films are set to be released on the ocassion. Laal Singh Chaddha by Aamir Khan and KGF by Yash Chopra: Chapter 2, both are set to hit theatres on April 14, 2022.

‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ was originally scheduled to be released around Christmas time in 2021. The movie’s release date was then pushed back to February 14th. On April 14 of next year, the picture will eventually be released in theatres.

Taran Adarsh, a Bollywood trade analyst, tweeted the news of the films’ battle at the box office.

“The big clash… 14 April 2022 will witness the clash of the two biggies: Laal Singh Chaddha and KGF2… Aamir Khan versus Yash,” he wrote on his Twitter handle.

Kareena Kapoor, who is also starring in the film opposite Aamir Khan, shared the new poster of the film and she wrote: We are happy to share our new poster and our new release date.” She added the hashtag #LaalSinghOnBaisakhi.

Aamir Khan’s upcoming film is a remake of the 1994 blockbuster Forrest Gump, which starred Tom Hanks. Advait Chandan is the director of the film. Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures are producing Laal Singh Chaddha together.

Aamir Khan will appear alongside Kareena Kapoor, actor Naga Chaitanya, and Mona Singh in the film. The Lagaan actor previously explained why he opted to recreate Forrest Gump in an interview with news agency PTI, saying, “I have always admired Forrest Gump.”
