Dhanbad, Nov 29: The lawyers of Koderma civil court continued their work boycott on the second consecutive working day on Monday demanding transfer of the principal district judge.

Koderma Bar Association secretary Manish Kumar announced that the civil court boycott would continue until principal district judge Virendra Kumar Tiwari is transferred.

“  Lawyers are aghast from the order of the principal district judge for banning entry of advocates in the civil court premises on Saturday while proceeding of monthly Lok Adalat was scheduled on the day. So lawyers have resolved to continue their boycott in protest.

However, the principal district judge denied to have banned the entry of lawyers in the civil court. “ No one was stopped from entry. If anyone has any complaint he should come and talk with me,” he said. He also denied having information about the boycott of the civil court by the Bar Association.

The lawyers of Koderma sat on the main gate of civil court on Saturday after they were denied entry allegedly as per the order of the principal district judge.

Litigants had to face sheer hardship due to the court boycott call by lawyers. Several affected litigants rued that without a proper announcement of the strike they failed to get justice scheduled  to be heard today as lawyers did not appear in court.
