New Delhi, Dec 1: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Dehradun on Dec 4 to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of of multiple projects worth around Rs 18,000 crore.
As per the Prime Minister’s office, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of eleven development projects. This also includes Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor which will be built at a cost of around Rs 8300 crore.
Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor will reduce the travel time from Delhi to Dehradun from 6 hours to around 2.5 hours. It will have 7 major interchanges for connectivity to Haridwar, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Yamunagar, Baghpat, Meerut and Baraut. It will have Asia’s largest wildlife elevated corridor for unrestricted wildlife movement.

PM will also inaugurate seven projects, including those which focus on making travel safer by tackling the problem of chronic landslides in the region. He will also inaugurate Hydroelectric project and Himalayan Culture Centre at Dehradun.
