New Delhi, Dec.6: Reliance Jio has updated five prepaid recharge options that include a one-year subscription to Disney+ Hotstar Mobile. The disputed recharge plans were formally excluded from Jio’s rate hike announced this week. As a result of the change, Jio now offers Disney+ Hotstar Mobile to its prepaid customers for Rs. 601 a month, up from Rs. 499 before. Users should expect to pay up to 20% extra for the new plans.

According to the Jio website, the Rs. 601 prepaid package provides 3GB high-speed data per day for 28 days and includes a year of Disney+ Hotstar Mobile for Rs. 499. The package also includes an extra 6GB of high-speed data, as well as unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day. Overall, the Rs. 601 prepaid plan offers the same features as the Rs. 499 plan.

The Rs. 799 prepaid recharge plan, which is a revision of the Rs. 666 plan, is the next in the series. It includes 2GB of high-speed data per day for 56 days, as well as unlimited voice calls and 100 daily SMS messages. An annual Disney+ Hotstar Mobile subscription is included in the deal.

Jio has also replaced the Rs. 888 prepaid recharge plan with the Rs. 1,066 plan, which includes a Disney+ Hotstar Mobile annual subscription as well as 2GB of high-speed internet per day, an extra 5GB of data, unlimited phone calls, and 100 SMS messages per day. The plan has an 84-day validity period.

In addition, the operator has introduced the Rs. 3,119 prepaid recharge plan, which is a replacement for the Rs. 2,599. For a year, it includes Disney+ Hotstar Mobile, which includes 2GB of daily bandwidth and 10GB of additional high-speed Internet, unlimited voice conversations, and 100 SMS messages per day.

In addition to the normal tariffs, Jio has introduced a new Rs. 659 data-only prepaid recharge option. It includes a year of Disney+ Hotstar Mobile as well as 56 days of 1.5GB high-speed daily data access.

Old plan New plan Benefits Validity
Rs. 499 Rs. 601 3GB daily high-speed data, 6GB additional high-speed data, unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS messages per day, annual subscription to Disney+ Hotstar Mobile 28 days
Rs. 666 Rs. 799 2GB daily high-speed data, unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS messages per day, annual subscription to Disney+ Hotstar Mobile 56 days
Rs. 888 Rs. 1,066 2GB daily high-speed data, 5GB additional high-speed data, unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS messages per day, annual subscription to Disney+ Hotstar Mobile 84 days
Rs. 2,599 Rs. 3,119 2GB daily high-speed data, 10GB additional high-speed data, unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS messages per day, annual subscription to Disney+ Hotstar Mobile 365 days
Rs. 549 Rs. 659 1.5GB daily high-speed data, annual subscription Disney+ Hotstar Mobile 56 days

In late August, Jio launched its prepaid recharge programmes with Disney+ Hotstar Mobile. The most recent change did not coincide with the start of the recent tariff hike, which occurred last week. However, information found in Web archives suggests that it may have arrived at the same time.

The new plans can be found under the Cricket Plans section of the Jio website. The change has been reflected in third-party recharge sources such as Google Pay and Paytm.
