Ranchi, Jan.11: Children below 18 and adults over 60 will not be allowed to participate in the Republic Day function in the state capital this year.
DC Chhavi Ranjan today gave the direction chairing a meeting on preparedness of Republic Day. He directed all the departments concerned with the preparations to follow strict Covid appropriate behaviour while planning and on the Republic Day.
Works and tasks were assigned to different department during the meeting. Supply of drinking water and arrangement of VIP toilet has to be done by drinking water and sanitation department. The work of cleaning road leading to Morabadi ground has to be done by road construction department.
Executive engineer of building construction demand has to take care of construction of gallery for visitors, barricading of venue, stage and tower for sound box. Parking arrangement has to be done by traffic police.
Nazarat Deputy Collector will prepare minutes’ plan and look over the seating arrangement of the guests. The civil surgeon is expected to set up a medical camp and the district fire officer is supposed to take care of firefighting arrangements.
Additionally, the Ranchi Municipal Corporation will take care of cleanliness around programme venue.
