Guwahati, Jan 13: Professor Jagdish Mukhi, the Governor of Assam and Nagaland has been tested positive for COVID-19. According to the source, he was later brought to the Apollo Hospital in Guwahati and is currently undergoing medical care.
Professor Jagdish Mukhi was found infected with the covid virus on Wednesday, following moderate symptoms, according to sources.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma shared this information on twitter.
“Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Guwahati last night. “I am in touch with authorities to get the latest updates on his health and ensure that he gets the best possible treatment,” tweets Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Meanwhile in Assam, a total of 3,274 new cases have been recorded with 1138 cases found exclusively in the Kamrup Metropolitan area. According to the reports, Assam has registered four deaths in the last 24 hours.
