XLRI alumnus Pushp Kumar Joshi recommended for HPCL’s CMD post

Jamshedpur, Jan 25: Pushp Kumar Joshi, an alumnus of XLRI, Jamshedpur (Batch 1984 – 1986) who is currently serving as director (HR) has been recommended for the post of chairman – cum- managing director (CMD) of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL).

Joshi, a doctorate in Human Resource Management and post Graduate in Human Resource Management from XLRI has been serving as the director (HR) since 2012.

From a list of 10 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB panel, Joshi has been recommended for this post.

As the CMD of HPCL, he will be held accountable to the Board of Directors. He will also be responsible for the efficient functioning of the company for meeting its objectives and performance metrics.

Being a part of HPCL, Joshi has always helped in shaping and developing the company’s work culture along aligning them with the values and mission of the organization.

He has extended his support to the business and finance functionalities in the critical area of human resource management in the organization.

Alumni of XLRI in particular have excelled and acquired positions of eminence in every field imaginable -from engineering to finance to management to even arts.

“Renowned scientists, successful entrepreneurs and managers and leaders of society, our alumni have made us proud time and again,” said an official of the premier B- school.
