Kochi, Jan 27: Kerala High Court on Thursday freed Thadiyantevida Nazeer and the other accused, who were convicted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) court here in 2011 in connection with the Kozhikode twin bombings case.
According to his lawyer, the court granted Nazeer’s appeal against the life sentence imposed by the NIA special court.
On March 3, 2006, Nazeer and the other defendants were charged with conspiring, planning, and carrying out bomb attacks at the Kozhikode KSRTC and Mofussiil bus stations.
