Chandigarh, Jan 31: Punjab CM and Congress leader Charanjit Singh Channi on Monday filed his nomination from Bhadaur Assembly constituency in Barnala district.
“Many districts in this region are backward in terms of development. I am contesting from this constituency with the mission of developing this region,” said Channi after filing nomination.

Notably, The voting in Punjab will take place in one phase on February 20 and the counting of votes will take place on March 10, 2022. Interestingly, a total of 117 assembly constituencies in Punjab will be going to the polls to elect MLAs for the 16th Punjab assembly.
