New Delhi, Feb 1: The oil marketing companies (OMCs) on Tuesday lowered the price of a cylinder of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). National Oil Marketing Companies have cut the cost of a commercial 19-kg LPG cylinder by Rs 91.50 as of today, February 1st. This comes only hours before Nirmala Sitharaman, the finance minister, delivers the Union Budget 2022.
Consumers may be relieved to learn that a 19 kilogramme commercial cylinder will cost Rs 1907 in Delhi starting today. In Delhi, the non-subsidized (14.2 kilogramme) Indane residential cylinder will cost 899.50 rupees.
At the same time, Kolkata residents will receive a 14.2 kg household LPG cylinder for $926. A non-subsidized LPG cylinder will cost the same in Mumbai as it does in Delhi, while it would cost 915.50 in Chennai.
Since October, the price of non-subsidized household LPG cylinders has remained unchanged. Since November, the prices of gasoline and diesel have remained steady.
Oil firms decreased the cost of a 19 kilogram commercial LPG cylinder by Rs 102.50 last month on January 1. For all Indian states and union territories, the LPG cylinder rate is updated monthly.
