New Delhi, Feb 5: India has seen 1,27,952 new instances of the novel coronavirus, including 1,059 deaths as a result of the infection in the last 24 hours.
According to data released by the Union Health Ministry on Saturday (February 5), the country experienced a total of 2,30,814 discharges in the previous 24 hours, bringing the total recovery rate to 95.39 percent and total recoveries to 4,02,47,902.
The overall number of active Covid-19 cases in India has decreased to 13,31,648.
The country’s total death toll today stands at 5,01,114. The first death from Covid was recorded in India in March 2020.
Today’s daily positivity rate is at 7.98 percent.
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) reports that 73,79,32,233 samples have been tested for COVID-19 as of February 4th. On Friday, 16,03,856 samples were examined.
