Lata Mangeshkar’s final journey begins, mortal remains being taken to Shivaji Park

Mumbai, Feb 6: Lata Mangeshkar’s mortal remains were draped in the Tricolor as they were carried to Shivaji Park for last rituals. Flowers and a stunning photo of the iconic singer were placed on the truck in which her body was being transported to the funeral home.

Her mortal remains will be stored at the park until the legend’s final rites are performed, so that her admirers and industry close friends can pay their respects.

A big crowd gathered outside Lata’s Peddar house road to bid their beloved singer farewell.

PM Modi will attend the state funeral for the singer in Mumbai today. she will be cremated at 6.30 pm.
