EC Railway temporarily cancels six passenger trains, diverts route of three express trains

Dhanbad, Feb 9: East Central Railway (ECR) Hajipur zone has announced the cancellation of six passenger trains and diverted route of three express trains crossing through Dhanbad Rail Division on February 10 due to construction of underpass between  Nichitpur and Tetulmari railway stations of Dhanbad – Gomoh rail section.

The Divisional Operational Manager of the Dhanbad rail division said that traffic on Dhanbad- Gomoh rail section has been blocked tomorrow from 8.30 am to 5.30 PM on Thursday (February 10) in wake of the construction of the underpass. So, six passenger trains have been cancelled and three long route express trains that cross through the chord line have been diverted.

“The fare would be refunded to those passengers who had booked tickets in express trains on that day,” the official said.

The passenger trains that have been cancelled for February 10 are-

 

  • Up and down (03545/03546) Asansol-Gaya-Memu.
  • UP and down (03553/03554) Asansol- Baranas-Memu
  • Up and down (03503/03504) Burdwan – Hatia –Memu

 

The official said three long route express trains that run on chord line and cross through Dhanbad railway station have been diverted through the mainline.

 

  • Howrah- New Delhi Purva Express (12381UP) would not come to Dhanbad and would go from Asansol-Jhajha line to New Delhi.

 

  • 13152 down Jammu Tawi – Kolkata express that set out from Jammu Tawi on Tuesday would not go Kolkata through Dhanbad and has been diverted through Patna- Asansol mainlines on February 10.

 

  • 12330 down Anand Vihar – Sealdah Sampark Kranti express would not come to Dhanbad and has been diverted through the mainline.
