Anil Kumar Meena to head RTI cell of Indian Youth Congress

Ranchi, Feb.22: The national president of the Indian Youth Congress, Srinivas, has entrusted the responsibility of the national Chairman of RTI Department in the Indian Youth Congress to Dr. Anil Kumar Meena of Rajasthan.

His role is considered important as the Right to Information Act 2005 was brought by the Congress party and giving its responsibility to someone in part has got some special significance.

The RTI Act gives the right to people to get information regarding expenditure on government policies and schemes from the government elected by the people of the country.

With the responsibility of the national chairman RTI wing of Congress to Dr  Meena it is expected that the latter will expose the negligence and irregularities done by the government.

Dr. Meena started his political career from SNKP College, Neemkathana, Sikar district, Rajasthan. From Nayawas village, he contested elections from Jawaharlal Nehru University Delhi as a candidate for General Secretary of NSUI. For a long time as the President and Vice President of JNU NSUI Unit, he addressed the top leaders of the Congress Party on the burning issues of India in the University and organized seminars for public consultations.

In 2019, Vaibhav Walia, the national in-charge of Indian Youth Congress Social Media, entrusted him with the responsibility of the coordinator of Delhi Pradesh Social Media. He was the Vice-Chairman of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee ST Department.

In 2020, National President Srinivas made Dr. Anil Meena in-charge of Delhi Pradesh Youth Congress Research Department.

Contacted Dr. Meena for his comment he told Lagatar24.com that the RTI department will be strengthened at the state and district level across the country and all the well-educated and experienced persons will get a chance to work in the organization through RTI.
