Ranchi, March 1:  Poraiyahat MLA Pradeep Yadav expressed his concern over the reluctance of government officials in deciding a matter related to the delay in appointment of seven music teachers in Godda district.

He expressed his concern during zero hour on Monday saying that the behavior has given an adverse impact on the sanctity of assembly that the issue could not be decided so far though an assembly committee, AG and director of the concerned department has given their opinion in favour of the music teachers having degree of Prayag Sangeet Samiti Allahabad.

The situation came when education minister Jagarnath Mahto expressed his inability to ensure appointment of music teachers in Godda saying that some teachers have already taken the matter before the high court and till a proper order in the matter from the court it is not possible to give joining to those teachers.

“Government officials are unnecessary to compel people to knock on the door of the high court. When a teacher Kesri Kumar Mishra having degree from Prayag Sangeet Samiti is already working since February 12, 2019 what is the problem in allowing music teachers having the degree from the same institution,” Yadav asked.

Yadav asked why to raise the issue of affiliation repeatedly though it was settled once by the high court.

“When JAC did not issue admit cards to a candidate having a music degree from the same institution the matter reached the Jharkhand High Court. Following the high court order, the admit card was issued and the candidate is working then why partiality,” Yadav questioned.

He also said that the teachers, whose matter he was raising in the assembly, had not knocked the door of the high court.

“How come others are affecting their services of the properly qualified teachers in Godda,” Yadav said.

A music teacher in Deoghar welcomed the matter raised by Yadav.

“Over 400 music teachers of government run high schools across the state, who got job on the basis of degree provided by Prayag Sangit Samiti, Allahabad, and Prachin Kala Kendra, Chandigarh,  have reached on the verge of starvation due to negative attitude of a section of government officials.  The situation came after the state government derecognized their degrees since April last year. Duration of service of these teachers ranges from one year to 30 years. These teachers are not being paid their salary. Matter related to non-payment of salary is also pending before the court,” the music teacher said.
