Ranchi, March 4: The BJP legislators did not allow the assembly to run on the issue of 27 percent reservation to OBCs.  The house which came in motion around 11.08am was adjourned till 12 noon.

During two minutes CPI (ML) legislator Vinod Singh supported by legislator Dipika Pandey and Sudesh Mahto cornered the state government on the issue of unemployment.

“This government has come into power assuring jobs to unemployed youths but during two years it failed to give the same.  It has also promised to give unemployment allowance but that too was not given. In this situation is there any data suggesting how many jobs the government could give,” Singh asked.

In reply to the question, state minister Satyanand Bhokta presenting data said: “during last three financial year the state government gave employment to 18290 registered youths.” On which Singh wanted to ask some supplementary questions but before he could so the house was adjourned.

Earlier, Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahto asked the BJP legislators not to disturb the question hour of the house saying they will get an opportunity to discuss the issue for four hours but the BJP legislators showed their reluctance to listen to him.

Amid uproar, Congress party legislator and state health minister Banna Gupta alleged the BJP for reducing the reservation of OBCs from 27 to 14. He said that when this was done Babulal Marandi was chief minister and Ajsu leader Sudesh Mahto was second in command in the government.
