Ranchi, Mar 12: Holi (March 18) is just around the corner and it’s a long weekend which means you can find a bit of time to spend in solace.

Life has returned to normal now that the number of Covid cases has decreased and the number of those who have been vaccinated has increased. Restaurants and outdoor activities have started sprouting up, as have social gatherings.

And we’re not whining about it. The long-awaited complex travel plans are beginning to take shape. With the long Holi weekend approaching, you may want to consider taking a short break. Don’t worry if you haven’t planned one yet; we’ve got you covered.

Let’s take a look at some of the choices for a weekend vacation this Holi weekend.

Shimla:

Often known as the ‘Queen of Hills,’ this is a scenic hill town located at an altitude of 2205 metres in Himachal Pradesh’s lovely state. It has always been on the radar of travellers from all walks of life, surrounded by unspoiled landscape of majestic Himalayan peaks and magical forests of oak and pine. Shimla is guaranteed to leave you with some wonderful memories to cherish for the rest of your life, whether you’re on a honeymoon, a cultural adventure, or simply a relaxed vacation.

Mussoorie:

Mussoorie is a well-known hill station in Uttarakhand that is ideal for both leisure and adventure travellers. Waterfalls, elaborate gardens, spectacular sunsets, and the Himalayan backdrop are just a few of the many attractions available to the town’s regular visitors. Tourists come from all over the world to visit the town.

Rishikesh:

Rishikesh, an attractive village on the banks of the Ganges, is an alternative weekend retreat about 250 kilometres from Delhi. Rishikesh, often known as the ‘Yoga Capital of India,’ is a popular location for adventure seekers. The town is serene and spiritual, with several attractions, including the famous Ganga Arti at the Triveni Ghat.

Agra:

The Taj Mahal city is a component of India’s Great Golden Triangle Tour, which is popular among foreign visitors wanting a glimpse of the country’s legacy and history. This lovely city will transport you back in time, not only because of its renowned monument (the Taj Mahal), but also because of other attractions such as Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri. If the Taj Mahal is your main reason for visiting Agra, be aware that it is closed on Fridays. As a result, plan ahead.

Goa:

When we think of the best weekend getaways from Mumbai and Pune, the first place that comes to mind is Goa. This beautiful coastal state is unrivalled in terms of nightlife, culture, and adventure. This option will never let you down, whether you’re looking for a family vacation or a get-away with pals.

Digha:

A great beach escape for beach lovers that always manages to impresses with its tranquilly and breathtaking sunsets. Even if it gets crowded, you’ll be able to locate a wonderful location to yourself. If you’re looking for a little adventure, Digha Beach offers a variety of watersports, including jet skiing.
