Ranchi, March 14: For the upcoming matriculation and intermediate examinations starting from March 24, 105 and 57 examination centres have been set up in the district respectively. A meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Chhavi Ranjan today for the successful conduct of the Matriculation and Intermediate examination at Collectorate Block B.
Regarding the successful conduct of the examination, the District Education Officer informed about the instructions issued by Jharkhand Academic Council, Ranchi. Giving necessary directions, the DC said that the instructions issued by JAC should be followed.
During the meeting, the DC asked all the centre superintendents to check all the CCTV cameras installed in their centres whether they are working or not. He said that the information about the malfunctioning of the cameras should be given to the District Education Officer.
Instructing the concerned officials the DC said, “Fair and malpractice free examination in a clean environment is the responsibility of all of us. Under no circumstances should any malpractice be reported. Strict action will be taken if the candidates are found to have malpractice during the surprise inspection. The static and patrolling magistrate deputed for the examination should ensure the conduct of the examination in a malpractice-free manner as per the departmental instructions.”
“It is mandatory for the officers and other employees working in the examination centres to have ID cards. Under no circumstances should an unauthorized person be allowed to enter the examination centre. If this happens then strict action will be taken,” the DC said.
Talking about the students sitting arrangement in the wake of Covid-19, the DC said that separate rooms should be arranged for the candidates showing any symptoms of covid-19.
The DC said that all the centre superintendents should check the Covid vaccination certificate of all the people engaged in the examination work. Action would be taken against the officer/personnel engaged in the examination work without Covid-19 vaccination under the DM Act.
This year 36183 students will appear in the annual secondary examination and 34926 in the intermediate examination. In the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed to complete all the preparations in advance for the timely delivery of question papers and answer sheets to the examination centres.
The District Education Officer, all the examination centre superintendents of the district and other concerned officials were present in the meeting held in room number 505 located at Collectorate Block B.
